Energy Bar, Spirulina Enhanced

Description: I create my own energy bars with my chopper/food processor:
I love healthy snacking, and could never find one without additives and sugar and unhealthy ingredients on the shelf. My bars have the simplicity of a trail mix and the convenience of ...
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup of your favorite trail mix – with at least 50% dried fruit (I like raisins, cranberry, dates, pineapple, papaya)

1 Tbsp ground flax seed (I use golden flax)

2 Tbsp oatmeal (I use old fashioned oats)

1 tsp Earthrise Spirulina powder

1/2 tsp each of other favorite powdered ingredients such as cinnamon, ginger, cocoa powder

1 Tbsp whey protein powder (any flavor, I like vanilla and I premix my powder with spirulina, cinnamon, and ginger)
Instructions:
- Process with pulses until granulated, then a few more seconds to desired texture.

Form into bars (I have a rectangular measuring spoon that is the perfect size and shape for 1 Tbsp serving).

Share and eat immediately, or try ideas such as:

Toast to make them a little firmer,

Freeze for long-term storage – or to keep them out of sight so they don’t go too fast!
