Ingredients:
8 Eggs
4 Green Onions, Minced
2 Cloves of Garlic, Finely Chopped
1 Pound of Fresh Spinach
1/2 Bunch of Fresh Parsley
4 Cups of Ricotta Cheese
1 Cup of Ground Beef (Lowest Fat)
1-1/2 Cups of Milk
1/4 Cup of Earthrise® Spirulina
4 Tablespoons of Butter
1/2 teaspoon of Paprika
1/2 teaspoon of Grated Nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon of Salt
1/4 teaspoon of Ground Black Pepper
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees
In a saucepan, saute the ground beef, drain the fat and set the beef aside
In the same saucepan, saute the onions, garlic and parsley in the butter over a medium heat until the onions are soft
Rinse the spinach, squeeze as much water from it and chop it up finely
Saute the mixture for 5 minutes on a medium heat
Add the beef to the spinach mixture and cook for a few minutes
Stir in the Spirulina & remove from the stove
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cheese and the eggs until combined
Add the milk and stir well
Stir in the beef mixture
Season with the grated nutmeg, the salt and the pepper
Put the mixture into a buttered baking dish (3 to 4 quarts)
Place the dish into a pan, add water to the pan (around the dish) and bake for 2 hours
