    Ingredients:

    • 1-1/2 to 2 Pounds of Broccoli
    • 4 Cups of Milk (Vegetable Stock may be Substituted)
    • 2 Tablespoons of Butter
    • 2 Tablespoons of Flour
    • 1 Tablespoon of Earthrise® Spirulina
    • 1 teaspoon of Salt
    • 1 Dash of Pepper

    Instructions:

    • Rinse the broccoli, trim the flowerets and discard the thick stems (do not put down your garbage disposal)
    • Place the flowerets into a large pot of boiling water and cook uncovered until tender.
    • Place the milk into a small saucepan and cook on a high heat until scalded
    • Slowly feed the flowerets into a blender with the milk until pureed (set aside six small pieces for garnish)
    • Melt the butter in a large saucepan
    • Add the flour, using a fork to mix it into the butter
    • Add the salt and pepper into the butter mixture
    • Pour the broccoli puree mixture into the saucepan
    • Bring the stove up to a medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring constantly
    • Quickly whisk in the Spirulina
    • Garnish the bowls with the remaining flowerets that were set aside earlier
